Still Running Windows 10? Make a Plan to Upgrade Soon!
Windows 10 will be reaching end-of-life on October 14, 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support the operating system.
Over 9,500 Windows 10 computers have already been replaced or upgraded throughout the university. However, approximately 1,500 computers remain. Unless these computers are also upgraded or replaced, they will be prevented from accessing the university network or other Temple resources after October 14.
Windows 11 is Microsoft's latest operating system release and the successor to Windows 10. This updated version of Windows offers enhanced security as well as a different look and feel. For more information, see our Windows 11 webpage.
October 14, 2025, is quickly approaching! We ask that departments complete a final inventory of any remaining Windows 10 systems and place replacement orders as soon as possible to avoid disruptions to business operations.
