TIAA and National Student Clearing House (NSC) Security Data Breach
Temple University's Information Technology Services (ITS) is gathering additional details from National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and TIAA regarding a recent security breach involving the MOVEit Transfer tool and its impact on our community.
Over the past few weeks, both NSC and TIAA, two service providers of the university, have notified us about a data breach related to the MOVEit Transfer tool. This breach has impacted not just Temple, but educational, governmental, and research institutions, among others nationwide.
An email to all students, faculty and staff was distributed on July 12 from Larry Brandolph, VP for IT and University Privacy Officer, with complete details. More information can be found at: its.temple.edu/security-incident-response-and-investigation.
