TUportal Upgrade and Banner System Maintenance Scheduled for this Weekend
Current Status: Resolved
Information Technology Services (ITS) will be migrating TUportal to a new platform (TUportal6) on:
• Saturday, January 7th starting at 10:00 am through approximately 5:00 pm (Eastern time) on Sunday, January 8th
Although no downtime is expected, the portal may be unavailable intermittently during this period. If you experience issues, try refreshing the webpage.
Note: TUmobile will be available, except for possible intermittent interruptions when viewing your classes or grades. In addition, systems such as Canvas, TUmail, Zoom, Microsoft 365 including OneDrive, Diamond Dollars and the TUlibrary databases will remain available during this maintenance period.
What to Expect from the New Portal
TUportal6 will look familiar but will have an updated appearance. In addition, administrative departments, schools and colleges will now have their own intranets (rather than tabs) within the portal. For an example, please see the ITS intranet.
Various Temple departments have piloted TUportal6 over the past year and a half with successful results. The platform will provide Temple with a solid foundation for future portal initiatives, including expanded internal web content and more robust search capabilities.
Additional Banner Maintenance on Saturday, January 7th
In addition to the TUportal upgrade, ITS will perform Banner maintenance on Saturday, January 7 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (Eastern time).
During this time, applications using Banner Workflow will be unavailable. You may also experience intermittent outages when accessing some Banner and related university systems. If this occurs, try refreshing the webpage.
